LIFESTYLE | Holiday Party Style Guide - MDFS - christian mpamoIt’s that time of the year again. We are in the midst of the holiday season and we all know what that  means. Lot’s of parties, events and moments to look your best. From the cosy homey family mixer, the always tricky office party to the chic champagne shower party’s. Many occasions to present your best you and also all very tricky if not done properly. Which means you need to be ready for anything. It also means having an outfit on hand that embraces tradition but is contemporary enough to translate to a more stylish environment. That is why I am sharing some tips and ticks for the holiday season in this Holiday Party Style Guide.

LIFESTYLE | Holiday Party Style Guide - MDFS - christian mpamoWe’re talking about looks that will make you feel confident but blend classic with timeless design and a modern feel. The best way to do so for me is to combine a statement blazer, this case I am rocking a double breasted pencil stripe jacket from Atelier Scotch. To harmonize this look I keep all the excitement up top and ensure the rest of your outfit remains understated; your jacket should be the standout. Of course depending on the kind of party you could add a bowtie or tie. I even ditched the traditional shirt and went for a turtle neck in this outfit, just to add some more chic. To compensate I added some funky socks and beige suede loafers.LIFESTYLE | Holiday Party Style Guide - MDFSFeeling more risky? Then ditch the regular wool dinner jacket and go for a sophisticated spin that is luxuriously smooth, surprisingly versatile and, dare we say, Bond-esque; Velvet.

It might seem all a bit overwhelming , but thankfully the company black tux has made a nice and clear overview for man and woman how to dress for the holiday season. LIFESTYLE | Holiday Party Style Guide - MDFS and The Black TuxHere’s a little more info on The Black Tux: The Black Tux is a simpler, more modern way to rent a suit. (Because who said you had to actually own all those suits?) By investing in the highest quality, well-fitting tuxedos and suits and having simplified the rental experience so that the wedding party can just focus on the big day.

This is how it works: First you select an outfit (created by yourself or through their stylist-approved curated looks) and submit your measurements. The suit is delivered one week before the event and if something doesn’t fit, they can replace the item for free if you let them know within 48 hours of receiving your order. After the event, you can send the suit back for free. Pretty nice huh? Want to give it a go for yourself? www.theblacktux.com
